Adrianna Jasmine Svitak is an interdisciplinary artist from the United States, currently based in NYC. She works with manipulated acoustic instrumentation, field recordings, cassette tape loops and voice to weave densely textured sonic landscapes. Her sound is characterized by sustained tension, drawing on a sense of loss, longing and nostalgia to create a distinctive and deeply haunting atmosphere.

Adrianna studied at Manhattan School of Music, training extensively in composition, electronic music, and Classical piano and violin performance, and has performed internationally for audiences upwards of 5,000 at concert halls across Mexico, India, and Asia. In Australia, she’s performed original music at the Leaps and Bounds Festival, Melbourne, and Parramatta Lanes, Sydney.

Drawing on a range of influences and techniques from different musical traditions, Svitak’s next forthcoming album sees dark moving swathes of auditory fragments, with ghostly vocals floating sweetly above; a world shaped to vacillate gently between tranquility and hysteria.
