About Adrianna Svitak
beginnings
Adrianna Svitak was born in Eugene, Oregon on December 16th, 1995. She started playing piano at the age of five, and violin at the age of six.
musical events
Since then, she has played at events and competitions such as the Seattle Young Artists' Festival, the CWU Sonatina Festival, the Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside, for the Music Teachers' National Association (MTNA), at the Northwest Chopin Festival, and at the October Bach Festival. Among other awards, she won first place at the City of Covington Piano Competition. She was concertmistress for the Redmond Junior High Honors Orchestra at the Junior All-State Violin Competitition, and is currently serving as concertmistress for the Redmond Junior High Honors Orchestra.
writing books
Adrianna co-authored Dancing Fingers, a volume of poetry, with her younger sister, Adora. This book is available at Adora's website, www.adorasvitak.com. Adrianna's poems are musical in their tone; the poems range in their sources of inspiration; one of her poems, "Minnie," drew inspiration from her pet guinea pig, Minnie.

Adrianna's immediate family includes her younger sister, the twelve-year-old published author Adora Svitak; her mother, Joyce Svitak, who is not only the events scheduler but a manager, publicist, consultant, and family chef extraordinaire; and her father, John Svitak, an employee of Microsoft who makes jokes frequently and makes the family laugh.

Adrianna's charitable giving efforts started out small. When playing violin at the local farmers' market, she would donate the money audiences gave her to a nearby Humane Society.
